The Museum Collection is a handcrafted line of bespoke babouche footwear, born from a joyful collaboration between Amanda Johnson Studio in Delray Beach, Florida and Coast & Koi in Cape Town, South Africa.

Each pair is a wearable work of art—made with custom-printed silks, satins, and linens featuring original artwork by Amanda Johnson. The shoes are adorned with hand-sewn sparkling gems and embellished with unique trims collected from Amanda’s travels around the world. These one-of-a-kind pieces are made for those who love to wear something soulful, vibrant, and full of joie de vivre.

What are Babouches?

Babouches are traditional slipper-style shoes originating from the Middle East, historically worn by both men and women. Unlike their curled-toe counterparts found in Moroccan souks, these modern interpretations feature a sleeker silhouette. Traditionally made from rich leathers like goatskin or sheepskin, babouches are known for their soft structure and celebratory embellishments—often reserved for weddings and festivals. Ours reimagine the form in fine textiles for a lighter, artistic flair.
