Fall in Motion

Good grief it has been a nutty summer! I cannot believe I've not updated you all in so long but I’m happy to share with you what I’ve been up to.

I had to take a small break from the blog and social media updates after the spring as we’ve been so busy making new art, textiles, clothing, crowns, pottery, photography and earrings. Looking back over the past few months I am astonished with the amount of work we got done, creating original pieces by hand.

I am really in love with my vintage inspired 60's inspired Kaftan line. I should have them all in by next week and will put them online ASAP. Speaking of new additions, we have a new employee starting next week! She will be helping me update our online catalog so keep an eye out for a lot of new pieces. We’ve been shipping out items all over the place so please don’t hesitate to order something that catches your eye! You can reach me on my cell (443) 823-5057.

My husband James Knill is starting to do a little light framing out of the gallery. We are just getting a few molding and we would love to help you out with any of your framing needs. James works on Sunday at the gallery 10:00 am – 2:00 pm if you’d like to stop in and discuss a potential project with him.

Our hours in the gallery are currently Thursdays 10:00 am – 2:00 pm (5:00 pm after Halloween), Fridays 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, Saturdays 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sundays 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. If you’re interested in sitting down with us but can’t visit during normal hours, please feel free to set up a private appointment with us by calling (443) 823-5057.

While we’ve been so incredibly busy, James and I did manage a little time away to a trip to Provincetown which we were enamored with. I was also able to get home to Baltimore in the early spring and again in late summer to do a wonderful Trunk Show (special thanks to those who joined us for it). I think I will be doing one in Baltimore at least once a year because it was fun and totally worth it.

If you’re worried that you missed out have no fear! I am pushing myself to get new jewelry made in the next few weeks so hang in there.

The last bit of news I wanted to share with you is that I was able to get to John Waters opening at the BMA. Henry (my Dad) had lent one of his pieces to the show. As a result we got to go to the donor’s party and the grand opening. I must say I absolutely loved the show and can’t recommend enough that you go see it! There was the added bonus of seeing good friends I have not seen in over 10 years. Catching up with everyone really filled my soul and heart. I love Baltimore and consider my childhood and all the wonderful people in my life such a gift.

Please join us this weekend at Amanda James Gallery.
