Season Opener & New Works

On Friday, November 3rd from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM I will be hosting our season opener for Art Walk in Artists Alley Delray. With every gallery and artists from Artists Alley sharing their new works and welcoming in the season, the Art Walk events are a vibrant mix of creativity and community. If you're interested in a sneak peak, I will be ushering in the season with a new series of nudes that I have worked diligently on this past summer. As always, I'm drawn to capture women in dramatic and powerful poses. These pieces are bold and mature, proud of form but not playful or naive. Unlike the black and white nude series I did last season, these pieces are in color, evoking flesh and a less aggressive stance. Likewise, while the black and white series were life size, these pieces are small allowing for intimacy rather than intimidation. They're placed in small wooden antique frames that James hunted down and framed.
